This Accessibility Policy explains how Build Women LLC d/b/a Grit Blueprint works to make gritblueprint.com clear, useful, and accessible to as many people as possible. This includes people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice recognition software, captions, magnification tools, browser accessibility settings, or other assistive technologies. It also explains how to reach us if you experience a barrier on our website.

01

Our Commitment

Grit Blueprint is committed to providing a website experience that is usable, understandable, and accessible.

Our goal is to make gritblueprint.com conform as closely as possible to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

WCAG is a recognized technical standard created by the World Wide Web Consortium, also known as W3C, to help make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. The U.S. Department of Justice has also stated that businesses open to the public should make their websites accessible to people with disabilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Accessibility is not a one-time task. It is an ongoing commitment.

02

Scope Of This Policy

This policy applies to the public-facing pages, content, forms, media, downloads, and digital experiences controlled by Grit Blueprint on gritblueprint.com.

Some parts of the site may include third-party tools, plugins, embedded content, booking tools, payment tools, videos, forms, analytics tools, social media feeds, or other services we do not fully control.

We work to choose third-party tools that support accessibility, but we cannot guarantee the accessibility of every third-party platform or embedded feature.

03

Standards We Aim To Follow

Grit Blueprint aims to support accessibility practices that include:

  1. Clear page structure.
  2. Logical heading order.
  3. Keyboard-friendly navigation.
  4. Descriptive links and buttons.
  5. Readable text.
  6. Strong color contrast.
  7. Alternative text for meaningful images.
  8. Captions or transcripts where practical for audio and video.
  9. Accessible forms, labels, and instructions.
  10. Error messages that are clear and helpful.
  11. Content that can be resized or zoomed without losing meaning.
  12. Pages that work with common assistive technologies.
  13. Plain-language content wherever possible.

We aim to review and improve accessibility as the website changes.

04

Assistive Technology Compatibility

Our goal is for the Grit Blueprint website to work with current versions of commonly used browsers and assistive technologies, including:

  1. Screen readers.
  2. Keyboard-only navigation.
  3. Voice recognition tools.
  4. Browser zoom and text resizing tools.
  5. Mobile accessibility settings.
  6. Operating system accessibility features.

Because technology changes, some combinations of browsers, devices, plugins, and assistive tools may perform differently.

If something does not work as expected, we want to know.

05

Known Limitations

We are working to improve accessibility across our website. Some content may not yet fully meet our target standard.

Possible limitations may include:

  1. Older PDFs or downloadable files.
  2. Third-party embedded forms or tools.
  3. Older video or audio content without captions or transcripts.
  4. Social media embeds.
  5. Third-party scheduling, payment, or marketing tools.
  6. User-generated or platform-generated content.
  7. AI-generated media that may need additional review for accessibility.

When we find an issue, we aim to fix it or provide a reasonable alternative when practical.

06

Ongoing Accessibility Work

Grit Blueprint may take steps such as:

  1. Reviewing new website content for accessibility.
  2. Adding alternative text to meaningful images.
  3. Improving headings, links, labels, and forms.
  4. Checking color contrast and readability.
  5. Reviewing video, audio, and media accessibility.
  6. Testing key website pages with accessibility tools.
  7. Training team members or vendors on accessibility basics.
  8. Updating the site as standards, tools, and user needs change.

We do not treat accessibility as a checkbox. We treat it as part of doing good business.

07
